Premier League Policies

Team Eligibility

Teams that have only played games in the following events/leagues: Premier, Stomping Fields, Proving Grounds, GOBBLN Flash Leagues, or the GOBBLN Open League.

Divisional Assignments

All divisions are considered to be equal. Teams are assigned through a "draft" process that is run at the end of the last completed season. You can find the details for the draft process here. We will use a format to incorporate a 6 team per each division as possible to allow for a 10 game season; with teams playing each team in the division twice.

League Drop Outs

In the unfortunate event a coach has to drop out mid-season, the Overlords will take the best action possible to fill the vacancy as soon as reasonable. Potential replacement teams can come from any past GOBBLN event, new members or inactive members. The Overlords will strive to be fair to all parties in finding a suitable replacement. Divisions may become slightly unbalanced if this occurs. The Overlord's may not fill the vacancy if no suitable replacement can be found. This effectively means that we will not force a new player into a hopeless situation if we feel it would be better to leave them in the Proving Grounds.

Schedule and Week Advancement

Matches will generally be played weekly. Some weeks may be longer to account for holidays and possible the first week due to difficulty in scheduling in advance. Coaches will schedule their matches by using the designated forum thread for their match (each match pairing will have its own unique scheduling thread). While you may communicate your intentions to play a match through other means, its important that you post in your thread the fact that it is scheduled (if you are the first one to post it) or confirm that the posted game time is correct (if you are posting 2nd). The divisional admins will use this thread and this thread only to determine how to handle a match that was not played on time.

Turn Times

Turns will be 4 minutes.


At the end of the season the top two teams from each division will advance to a playoff to determine the season champion (if needed, the OL's may add a certain number of wild-card entries to even out the playoff field - these wild-cards will always be the "next best" teams and it is possible that they may come from the same division). Tie-breakers will be as follows:
1) Head-to-Head
2) Wins
3) TD Differential + .5 CAS Differential
4) GOBBLN Chainsaw Death Match-Off (Will be re-implemented once the Goblins are added to BB2)

It will almost never go past #3 as that will be a pretty unique number and it allows for the more bashy teams that don't score as many times as the AG teams; to have a chance to actually win this tie-breaker. The Chainsaw match, should it get to that, should be the ultimate fun match! Both coaches will create a new Goblin team with a chainsaw, 15 regular goblins, & 4 rerolls. This will leave you 100k for getting 1 bribe in the inducement phase. Each turn you will get 1 chainsaw block/blitz only. No other blocks or moves are allowed. Normal goblins are to stand still throughout the duration of the match and stay accessible for chainsaw hits. Blocks/blitzes are to be used on regular goblins only; NOT the other chainsaw. Rerolls may be used on failed kickbacks as needed. The bribe is to be used at the half to "hopefully" get the chainsaw for the 2nd half. If the bribe fails, then you don't get any hits in the second half. Keep track of the casualties for each chainsaw and at the end of the match, whoever had the most casualties will win the tie-breaker.

Additionally, all playoff eligible teams must apply to the championship tourney by the designated date or their spot will be yielded to the next team in line. (Note: The standings shown in Cyanide and BBM will reflect their tie breaking format and not necessarily reflect ours. The playoff format being used in the current season is not necessarily the method that will be used in future seasons to crown a champion).

Playoff Seeding

Teams will be paired in reverse order (e.g 1 plays 16, 2 plays 15). All first place teams will receive the highest seeds. All second place teams will receive the lowest seeds.


The winner of the playoffs will receive a banner to display through the following season.

Team Building/Recovery After Season Completion

In between seasons, all teams not making the playoffs that decide to return for the following season are allowed one Training Season game where the AI team will forfeit, for additional building and MNG reset purposes.

In between seasons, all teams making the playoffs (minus the Champion) are allowed one Training Season game where the playoff team forfeits, in order to reset MNG's; but they will take a FF hit of -1 in the process, if choosing to do this.

The League Champion gets no reset.

Additional perks and stronger, or better, Training Season games may be purchased by using Iron Deathmarks from a team's account to purchase specific perks.
